THOMPSON/CENTER’s R-55™ CLASSIC is a premium semi-auto rifle, reminiscent of the way rimfires used to be built. Sporting a full-size deluxe American Walnut buttstock, the R-55™ Classic features a solid steel receiver, and a 22" Match Grade Barrel which is precisely threaded into the receiver for maximum rigidity. Unlike a majority of the rimfire rifles with pressed fit and pinned barrels, the R-55 Classic’s™precise barrel lock up, being threaded into the receiver, results in superior accuracy from shot to shot.

THE R-55™ CLASSIC IS EQUIPPED with an adjustable rear sight and a ramp-style front sight with “easy to pick up” fiber optics. The rifle loads from a detachable 5-shot magazine. The convenient magazine release is located in front of the trigger guard for ease of reloading. The trigger guard safety lock supplied with the rifle offers additional security when the gun is stored. The solid steel receiver is drilled and tapped to accept a Weaver-style scope base. The deluxe American Walnut buttstock is equipped with quick detachable sling swivel studs and a tasteful pistol grip cap. The manual thumb safety is easy to use and conveniently located on the right side of the receiver.

THE R-55™ CLASSIC IS A STREAMLINED, solid rimfire rifle which will appeal to the discriminating small bore rifleman. It will be equally at home on the range or in the field; whether punching holes in a paper target, bouncing cans, or harvesting a limit of “bushy tails”.
