Thompson/Center’s R-55® Sporter®

This is a deluxe semi-automatic rifle chambered in both the hottest little varmint cartridge to come along in decades, and in the standard 22 LR as well. The rifle features a match-grade barrel that is threaded into an all-steel receiver for maximum rigidity.

The R-55® can deliver 1/2" groups at 50 yards. With a 17 gr. jacketed bullet traveling 2100 f.p.s. at the muzzle, it’s a tack driver at the range and a deadly combination on varmints and small game.

The R-55® loads from a detachable five round magazine and its 20" barrel is equipped with an adjustable rear sight and a ramp style front sight with fiber optics. The solid steel receiver is drilled and tapped to accept Weaver®-style scope bases.

LAMINATED STOCK is equipped with sling swivel studs and a trapdoor buttplate which accepts a spare five round or 10 round magazine.
