Just thought I'd share with you the results of my elk hunt. The rifle and load data mentioned in my original e-mail of 8-21-08 (see below) was what I was using, and God provided me with an opportunity for which I am truly and eternally thankful.
I am also thankful for the wonderful products you and your company have produced which enabled me to take this magnificent animal.
The 300 grain bonded Shock Wave bullet performed flawlessly and did not exit the animal. (It was recovered.) It went nearly through on a quartering away shot and did massive damage to both lungs and the liver before lodging between two ribs on the opposite side from entry. The shot was taken at a range of about 45 yards. After the shot, the bull ran about twenty yards before falling.
Thank you for all of your assistance! (Incidentally, the scope is a Leupold VX-I, 2-7 X 33, gloss black, mounted with Weaver rings and Weaver 1-piece base.)
God Bless You All!
William T. Marske
P.S.: This rifle and similar load combination (but not bonded bullets, just the standard 300 grain Shock Wave bullets) have enabled me to harvest two deer, as well. Thanks once again!
