On the second day of this hunt, Dominic and I start off with a 2.5 mile bike ride up the canyon and then headed up the mountain to start this adventure.

Dom is in tip top shape and after trying to push me to go faster I told him to just go and I would meet him up on the ridge. So he took off.

As I climbed higher and higher digging my way though the scrub oak I kept telling myself this better be worth it. So I make it to the top of this very steep ridge with about a 3 foot wide top before dropping very steeply again on the other side.

I radio Dom and he stands up and tells me he is 80yds above me. I look up and see him take some very much needed deep breaths.

As I looked down from this point I see a 5x4 buck standing 80yds away staring at me. Still not having caught my breath I rip my gun off my shoulder and look through the scope, it was dancing all over me.

Trying to calm down I hear Dom on the radio HA HA funny what are you doing? Then BOOM I got him. Dom never did see that buck until it was too late.
