While hunting in Branch County on November 24th early morning. I had 7 does come through the woods I was hunting in very slow but very nervous, they kept looking behind them as if someone else was in the woods coming toward them. They seemed to take a moment and all bunched together while still looking in the direction they came from.
All of a sudden I saw what they were looking for, it was a nice rack moving throughout the thickets. While trying not to spook the does I got my gun up and waited for the buck to step out. It seemed like minutes but he stepped out into a clearing I had made for a shot just in case this would happen.
I placed my scopes cross hairs on him and squeezed the trigger. The 50 cal. 150 gr. triple Seven,Thomson/Center New super slide 250 gr. bonded bullet hit its mark and he dropped right in his tracks.
I was very happy with the end results, a very nice nine point buck.
