We looked over at over 150 bucks thru out the summer of '08. We lined up a pecking order of 1 to 5 . 1 being the best on down to number 5 buck. All these were B&C antelope.
We took live pics of all the bucks and knew what all would score starting at 90" on to 82". I knew I would only draw this tag maybe once in a lifetime and I had to make it count.
Opening day lots of other guys were on this buck in fact one guy hit him in the lower leg . I actually bumped in to that guy and told him if I saw the buck I would not shoot it . While we were talking I glassed his buck and he took off to kill it. I
I heard a couple of shots, went over and he had shot the wrong antelope . OPEN SEASON !!!!! I relocated the buck the following morning and stalked and shot him.
Man was I pumped 3 months of scouting, 500 or more pictures and here he was on the ground with my tag on him. I'm sad and happy. Sad because it was all over, Happy because I knew I was a blessed man to kill a green score 86" buck .
