After 7 days of hard hunting, this bull was spotted from about 1/2 of a mile, bedded down in a small shallow pond. After an awesome stalk, and multiple spot changes, we finally got within 80 yards.

With the wind in our faces, and the bull still unaware of our presence, we made the decision to harvest him. We waited until he stood up and he never got to take another step.

Not the largest bull in Alaska, but not bad for a DIY hunt from a couple of old country boys, and a trophy of a lifetime.
