Middle Mesa NM,
Topped a ridge About 5:45pm, came upon 2 Does 250yrds in a clearing. My Father in-law spotted a buck on the canyon Rim about 50 yds past the does just beyond the clearing, I stocked my way within 50yrds of the Buck never getting a good look him. TC Encore .50Cal Pro Hunter (the greatest weapon I've ever owned) at hand.

Confidence growing, knowing I only needed one clear shot. As the sun set silhouetting my trophy. The amber sun highlighted the rack of my more then worthy opponent as if he was being presented to me as a gift from the Gods. Anticipations now growing, I slowly raised my Pro hunter to my shoulder. Trembling now with excitement. A deep breath to steady my nerves. A slow squeeze of the trigger and the Pyrodex cloud filled the sky.

With anxiety now at its highest, the echoes in my head bouncing from ear to ear, "Did I get him, Did I get him." A deep pause and a sharp stare, I got Him! I got him! He's Down! OH MY GOD I GOT HIM!!!
