Please find the attached picture of our New Mexico Elk Hunt and the story goes;

After waking up to Elk bugling in the distance, we packed our packs and started hiking towards the sounds.

We spotted a cow elk and her calf feeding in a draw 600 yards away but could not see the bull bugling. After what seemed like hours, there he was. His coat was full of mud from the day before playing in the local mud hole. We closed the distance to 350 yards but where faced with an 8’ drop off we couldn’t go around. After pondering a moment we shimmied down the drop off thanks to a couple down trees and stocked within 200 yards.

Once he cleared the trees I raised my Bone Collector, place the second circle of my Nikon Omega on him and pulled the trigger. Smack dab on target! With a couple of limps he was still standing, so I reloaded and completed my harvest on this magnificent New Mexico Elk. Thanks to Thompson / Center, Nikon, Bushnell, Timberline Outfitters, my Father Gary Brock, my Father-in-law Jim Dunn and the Lord Jesus Christ for a successful hunt.
