Hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to let you all know that I was very fortunate to harvest a great mature buck tonight. This was the second biggest buck that we had running around on the farm and by far the biggest that moves any during legal shooting hours. I had a couple encounters with this buck and he always seemed to make the right move to keep his hide on him.

Today we had a nasty front move in: sleet, snow and freezing rain. Absolutely perfect weather for me to get a good one on the ground. I got the harvest on video by myself and it turned out better than I hoped!

I have a couple hours of velvet footage of the buck and some footage from bow season of him on a windy October afternoon. The Pro-Hunter did its job and with out the high quality optics I probably wouldn't have got this buck, couldn't be happier with my Leupold Scope and Binoculars. Pat your more that welcome to use my photo.

I've logged a lot of hours and that doesn't come with out a price. I'm very thankful that my wife hasn't divorced or killed me yet for hunting as much as I do. I guess she knows how much I love to pursue big bucks and puts up with it.

The buck is a 5 X4 typical main frame with 2 stickers, we had named him the sticker buck. He was 5 or 6 years old and had the biggest body I've ever seen of a buck here in Kentucky. Looked like he came from Illinois or Iowa. Well hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
