This is a buck we have been searching for all season. We got a picture of him on a trail camera in September in full velvet. My friend that owns the farm and is a full time taxidermist and avid deer hunter estimated him to score 162 inches.

Well, over the last several months I think we have about 12 other pictures of him all around the farm. But as any old buck would do he managed not to be seen, except by the cameras all through archery season the first gun season and then finally we caught up to him on the evening of the second gun season.

We caught him chasing some does and the 209 x 50 Encore Pro Hunter did the job -stopped him in his tracks. My friend was trying to video but it just happened so fast he could not get the camera on him and we did not want to let him get away. We did not know if we would ever get another chance at him this year. he ended up with a gross green score right around 160.
