After a good breakfast on a cold morning in the bush, I jumped (crawled) on my quad for the trip out to the spot my brother-in-law had heard calls from the night before. Sure enough, my mother-in-law spotted him at about 600yds from where we set up at. They amazingly said "You can take him."

I set up on my sticks and he started calling. I could hear my heart rushing blood through my ears. It would stop every time the big guy looked straight at us. He came in to 266yds and didn't like something. Maybe I was too noisy, but he turned sideways and started walking away! My mother-in-law/guide said "Shoot". Just then, he walked behind a tree. I just knew he was going to walk away! I was wrong, he stepped out from behind the tree and stopped on my brother-in-law's call. My Icon roared. The moose took off! At 300yds, he stopped for a second, I lasered another into him. The first shot was through the heart, the second just behind it. Of all my preparations, I knew my Icon would shot true.
