A good friend, named Jeff Schneider, invited me to hunt with him on his ranch. Jeff hunted with me for years when he was a young man and wanted to repay me for all those hunts.

He said I could shoot any buck that had only one or no brow tines. I was able to collect this buck, a nine pointer which scored 143 1/8, weighed 165 pounds, and was 7 1/2 years old.
