White Tail Deer
Omega
50

I just wanted to share my recent whitetail deer hunting experience with you. I shoot a T/C Omega in .50 caliber with 250 grain T/C Shockwave bullets. On the afternoon of December 20 during the Missouri muzzleloader season, I shot a buck (see attached photo) with my Omega at a range of 110 yds. The field-dressed buck later weighed in at 165 lbs. It was shot broadside through the upper part of both shoulders.

When the buck was being caped out by my taxidermist the next day, we recovered the expanded bullet lying inside the skin on the far shoulder. The Shockwave bullet performed exceptionally well and expanded to a diameter of 0.70 inches. The recovered bullet weighed 169 grains for a weight retention of 68%.

I have been shooting Shockwaves in my Omega rifle for the past few years. Shockwave bullets provide excellent accuracy in my Omega and, they also provide excellent performance on large whitetail deer.

Thanks for a great rifle and a great bullet!

Sincerely,
