Hi my name is Travis Camden and I am writing you this email to thank you guys since I know you probably don't hear it enough from those of us who really appreciate all the hard work that you put into your products.

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and early last year I started hearing a buzz about the new Venture that was going to be available soon. After searching some early reviews and reading around online I was sold that I had to at least check this gun out when it became available.

Well after months of waiting and phoning the local Bass Pro Shop pretty much daily ( I think they knew me by name!) I was told yes it had finally come in after some USA to Canada shipping delays. I chalked this up to the fact that they were being bought as fast as they were going out in the States and probably for good measure!

Well I went to the store to check it out and after shouldering it and playing around for a few minutes I was sold that the reviews were spot on about the feel and design. After quickly buying the 300 Win Mag I will admit I was slightly skeptical in terms of the 1" guarantee but figured there was only one way to find out.

The gun was soon whisked away to the family farm where I mounted a Bushnell 4200 and set out with a box of Remington Premier Core Lokt 180 grain to see how it would perform. I was honestly blown away! No tampering, no fixing, no adjusting or any other modifications needed, the gun just plain and simple worked to perfection. The bolt action was smooth, the trigger was crisp and clean, cartridge ejection was a breeze and the holes on paper were well under 1" MOA!

After more than a few days of playing with my new rifle and being more and more impressed as each day went on, I decided it was time to try it in the field. For months I had a whitetail hunt planned that I knew I had a high percentage chance to down something big, so I thought why not bring along the Venture.

November 11 came and just before mid day, out walked what I just couldn't pass up. The deer was 183 yards out and the rifle as it had from day one, performed flawlessly with one well placed shot!

For this coming year I have already done some hand loaded Hornady's up so I am going to try those out but have complete confidence that they are going to execute perfectly with this fine rifle.

In the end I just wanted to say thank you cause everyone at Thompson/Center deserves it. You have made an extremely accurate, well built rifle that is not only a pleasure to shoot but has a more than modest price tag. Keep up the good work and well done!
