I was lucky enough to call in this nice buck last fall on opening day of rifle season in Nashville, TN. I had missed a nice 8 pointer the morning before with a muzzleloader (the tree limb wasn't so lucky). Before leaving that day, I relocated my stand for the next day.
The next morning I called this buck in. I thought he was the same deer I had missed since he stayed in the thick cover. I figured the .308 could handle the small brush, so I shot him. He fell at the report of the gun. Upon recovery, I realized it was not the same deer, but one much larger.
Life is sometimes good to us this way. I love the ICON rifles, they are great!
