I was able to shoot this deer, my second buck with the Icon rifle, in Nashville, TN, late last year. I had previously shot a nice 10 pointer with the same gun.

This was perhaps the shortest hunt of my life. I stayed in bed a little too long, and didn't arrive in the stand until 7:05am. Rattled some, called a little, took a few pictures of the scenery, etc. Tucked my camera away, rattled again, and while I was calling, this deer came running down the ridge on top of me.

I had time to tuck my call away, grab my rifle, and he was 45 yds away. I took my only shot, a straight on chest shot and he fell. Looked at my watch, and it was 7:22am. I couldn't believe it, and it will likely never happen again.
