2010 SouthEast Kansas Muzzleloader season, Sunday the 26th, 6:55 a.m. A routine pattern was the last mistake this amazing animal made. Using a terrace in a standing soybean field, I was able to achieve enough cover to go undetected while I made a great shot at 60 yrds.
The will of the animal to live was unbelievable, yet was no match for the 50 cal Thompson/Center. Bushmaster gross score was 196.6 with 5 of the 12 pts being greater than 10". He was harvested off a small farm consisting of 225 acres. This was a self guided hunt.
