Nov. 6, 2010 dawned snowy and cold. I was on my stand before daylight. About 9 am I looked down the ridge and saw a buck making a rub on a tree. It was 250 yards away and further than I wanted to shoot as I could only see it's head and neck.
I asked the good Lord to send that buck my way. It left my sight and in about 3 minutes here it came. It got within 75 yards and stopped. I decided I better take the shot as I had no promise of a better one. As the smoke cleared I saw the deer running off and could tell it was hit.
I had a good snow and took of on the trail. After about 75 yards of tracking I found the deer expired, a nice 7 point buck.
On Oct. 31st, 2010 I killed a nice coyote, and on Nov. 1st. 2010 I killed a spike buck.
I would have to say, I have never had a better season with my T/C Encore. This is the most reliable rifle I've ever owned. When the rifle cracks, I have without fail made meat.
Thanks T/C for a great rifle.
