2nd day of New York's 2010 rifle season and I set my sights on filling one of my DMP/doe tags. I was hunting on private property in Harris, NY. I was in my seat by 5:30 and awaited the dawn.
I caught movement at around 6:50 am coming in from the south along the ridge. I folded up my balaclava and rested the G2 on it and readied for the shot. She came in alone at 80 yards and crossed through one shooting lane before I could get a shot off. She just broke into the second shooting lane and paused momentarily. I squeezed the trigger and sent 150grains of Federal on an intercept mission. She ran 40 yards before she crumpled.
The doe aged at approximately 9.5 years old based on tooth wear. This is my 4th T/C and my first T/C pistol, again, keep up the exceptional craftsmanship and get ready for more pictures.
Thank you. Gregg Taylor
