Mule Deer
T/C Pro Hunter
.243

It was a cold Saturday morning after Thanksgiving 2010 in Northeast New Mexico when my 10 year old son Luke shot this nice 9 point mule deer.

We were glassing the country side early in the morning when we spotted a small herd of deer about 270 yards away. After waiting a small amount of time this nice muley presented a great broadside shot at about 250 yards. With my son outfitted with his T/C Pro Hunter .243, he was able to put the cross-hairs on the deer and squeeze a shot off.

Unfortunately, he shot right over it’s back the first time. However, to our delight, the deer hesitated for a few more seconds while he reloaded. After a little coaching, he shot another round and found its target. This deer was a great trophy for anyone on a spot and stalk hunt, but especially for my son and me to get to experience it together.

What a great memory for both of us. This is his 13th deer that he has shot with his T/C since he was 6 years old.
