This is the biggest buck on our farm this year. Only had 2 trail cam pictures of him. Tried to find him in bow season but never even caught a glimpse. So I went after him with my all camo Triumph 50 cal.

On my eighteenth day in the woods this year I finally found him. I was headed to my blind along the edge of the woods and a plowed corn field. Not far from my truck, some movement in the woods caught my eye. I did a double take as the big buck caught me by surprise. He stared me down as I slid sideways to open up a shot to his body through the heavily wooded area. It was a blessing he did not react and I took him.

December 18th 2010 was the easiest and most rewarding day of hunting I have ever experienced. I felt the culmination of 17 long days of hard hunting in all types of weather looking for just this one deer come to a succesfull conclusion.
