I shot this ten pointer in Massachusetts during blackpowder season. It was about 8:30 am when I stepped out of the woods onto the power lines. I scoped up and down the lines for a couple of minutes, suddenly there was a huge crash in the brush across the lines from me. To my amazement out came that huge rack. I scoped the buck while he walked the brush line for about 25 or so yards. He then took a sharp right, and I lost him behind some brush. To my surprise he then walked right out to the road about 40 yards down the lines, and stopped. I raised my gun put a bead on him, puff of smoke, and it was all over. Not bad for my first deer.
