I harvested this beautiful mature Whitetail buck during Pennsylvanias 2008 rifle season. Totally fair chase, do it yourself, and on public lands.

I had been hunting bear in the area prior to deer season and noticed alot of deer sign in the area. I figured why not and hung a stand two days before opening day. Opening morning I passed on several different smaller bucks in hopes that there was a monster in the area.

About three hours into the hunt I was glassing my clear cut when this monster ran through following some does. I took my time and made the best shot of my life. I harvested him at 280yds off hand from a tree stand. One shot and he was down for the count. I called my father and asked him to come check the area where I had last seen the buck when I shot so I didn't have to take my eyes off the area.

Needless to say I can still hear his hoots and hollers till this day. Thanks again T/C for your never ending work on the best rifles in the world. I will never use anything else.
