.50 cal Muzzleloader

I was into day 3, hunting with Zambeze Delta Safari in Mozambique, Africa. While driving through the concession this Reedbuck was spotted bedded under a palm tree.

After a short stalk, being sure not to alert other animals that were feeding nearby, I was able to close the distance to this animal. My PH was afraid that if we waited for the Reedbuck to get out of his bed that he would quickly bound off so I shot while he was still bedded down.

After finding a solid rest for my Thompson Center Endeavor muzzleloader I squeezed the trigger. The Reedbuck just rolled over where he lay. I was shooting Hornady's 300 grain SST/ML bullet on top of 120 grains of Wano powder as I did on all of the animals I shot in Africa on this trip.

The Endeavor performed flawlessly and each animal was taken with one shot.
