My 11 yr old son Connor Girard, shot this 22lb turkey on opening morning of the 2011 turkey season. It was snowing like crazy and looked more like winter than spring. I called in this bird and he was at full strut at 10yds from our pop up blind.

Connor waited for the Tom to strut out to the decoys and then made a perfect shot at 25yds with my T/C Encore 12ga shot gun. The Hevi Shot Magnum Blend put the bird down. The specs were 22lbs, 10" beard, 7/8 spurs.
