I started hunting with my Encore pistol exlusively in 2000. This past year I took my 7th good muley buck. My 2008 buck is in my top three deer ever--the other two were also taken with my Encore.

My son(13) missed a really long shot at my buck a week earlier, and I was fortunate enough to locate the deer on the last day of the season.

It took me two hours of crawling through sage brush to cut the shot distance from 380 yards to 175 yards. Once I cut the distance I had to wait while lying on my stomach for almost 20 minutes for the bedded buck to stand up. He finally did and one shot from my Encore with the Burris turned to 7X put him down.
