The first Contender® became popular among handgun hunters due to its unique design offering improved accuracy, a strong break-open action and a unique interchangeable barrel system. The second generation G2 Contender® takes these features to the next level, creating a handgun that’s reliable, accurate and made for the hunt.

User Friendly in the Field
Even on a hunt, the G2 Contender and Encore will allow you to change barrels quickly. Remove the forend on the Contender, tap out the hinge pin to switch. With the Encore, simply remove two screws and the hinge pin to change calibers quickly.
